Overview
Cool Moves is an introductory volleyball program for ages 6 – 13.
It takes place once a week on Wednesdays from 5:00-6:25pm at the
Henk Ruys Soccer Centre in Lawson Heights. Every session has a section focused on skills followed by a progression into modified game play.
Athletes are grouped into one of six courts based on their age and current skill level. This information is collected on the signup form.
Each age group is coached at different levels, to accommodate the varying ages and skill levels among the athletes.
There is an eight week fall program that runs from September to November and an eight week winter program that runs from January to March.
We teach the basic volleyball skills (hitting, serving, passing, setting) and introduce gameplay modified to an age appropriate level.
Parent Helpers
Parents are encouraged to participate in their child’s development. Parents with volleyball knowledge are more than welcome to provide assistance during the sessions.
Please indicate on your registration form if you are interested in being a parent helper. A letter will be emailed to you which you then take in to get a criminal record check / vulnerable sector search. This form needs to be received prior to you helping on a court.
